Your piece reminded me of when I became totally disillusioned with American Pickers about five years ago. Used to watch it all the time. One day, I went "shopping" for all the cool stuff they find. It doesn't exist! Or if it does, Mike has it in his own collection. Their store is nothing but mugs that say "Antique Archaeology." Or some such. As for the ones who might be "real", they sold their homes in California for one bazillion dollars and now can pay cash for those bungalows.
