There’s a country song that goes, “God may forgive you, but I won’t.” I like that song. It’s relatable. Part of the problem is that evergreen adage people parrot, “Forgive and forget.” Either of those makes the other one moot — the first particularly if you’re struggling to forgive, you clearly haven’t forgotten.
