Please. Most people want their own kids. If they adopt, it’s usually because they can’t have their own, or they already have their own and want to adopt as well. I would never “shame” anyone for wanting and having kids. Every single era has good reasons “not to have kids.” World wars, nuclear devastation and a Cold War, society in an uproar, etc, etc, and etc. Adopting children takes an even bigger leap of faith than having your own, and if the child is older, or has emotional or physical issues, it takes a special kind of person to take that on.
