I just read that Brits get drunk 51 times a year on average. (I’ve got a lot of catching up to do!) At any rate, if Brits are really drinking a lot, alcohol will put weight on you faster than almost anything else. Plus, you stagger around or just pass out when you drink and no calories are getting burned.

The study said English speaking people drink more, too, which would include the States.

Just a thought — is everyone drinking more alcohol? That would explain some weight gain.

I wanted to have some soup the other day, but when I looked at the soups we have in the cupboard, every single one of them had high fructose corn syrup in it listed second or third. I was so disgusted, I just had three candy bars for dinner.
